Comments on: CSIRO grilled over mystery wireless
With the government effectively ignoring the fastest growing communication technology, they have now backflipped angry at CSIRO for not telling them about their new developments in wireless access technology. The government would have included it more in their NBN plans.

"wind affects wireless signals" I guess that means, the internet I get on my phone is an illusion then. "Lets say 10 people use the 100mb tower, it'll become only shared 10mb to each user" Actually it'll become 100Mb for 10 users. It's called contention, and it's quite economical. Statistics and real world experience says that not everyone uses the internet at once. So why were CSIRO *grilled*? It's because the Government should have included wireless in their NBN plan. If the NBN ever comes around, they're going to find it hard to compete against faster and faster wireless internet, which will be more affordable.

Wireless is *. Yes, it's * for cities. Why? Because wind affects wireless signals. Your internet is down. Another thing is, more people in the same tower, the slower the internet. Lets say 10 people use the 100mb tower, it'll become only shared 10mb to each user. 10 isn't a lot.
